Haven’t done one of these quick character sketches in a while, and Jeremy’s a little down, so let’s cheer him up:
His response to Shoes & Tunes: Jeremy C. Shipp (a new Bram Stoker nominee master of horror, writer of Cursed, a very cool book!): shoes: I prefer not to wear shoes, but when I do I’m usually wearing my slinkster cool yard gnome flip-flips or my brown and beautiful havaianas. songs, I know: “A Whole New World,” the Charles in Charge opening theme song, The Gummi Bears theme, and almost every song on Pink Floyd’s The Wall album.
Okay, what kind of character would I spin from this info?
Shoes: none or flip-flops or havaianas — um… kind of like free-spirit new age hippie-ish. Laid back, easy-going. Prefers tea to coffee (those weird Tazo teas). Maybe into yoga or tai chi, or crystals and stuff. Definitely smokes pot (not that Jeremy does; to be clear, I’m saying that a character I’d spin from these shoes & tunes would!).
Songs: I’m laughing here. I don’t think there’s any comment necessary on this one. Come on, The Gummi Bear theme and Pink Floyd? Hahahahahahaha!
Overall, this character would be the super-cool, easy-going best friend of the MC, the guy everyone wants to hang out with.
