Shoes & Tunes #5 (Jeanne V. Bowerman)

Time for the fifth installment of Shoes & Tunes. Our lucky victim today is none other than the influential Jeanne V. Bowerman - writer, screenwriter, black belt, belly dancing, recovering insecureaholic & moderator of #scriptchat

Shoes: none (or flip-flops, or Frye low cowboy boots)

Songs: “Aint’ No Sunshine”-Al Jarreau, “Love Me Like a Man”-Bonnie Raitt, “The Nearness of You”-Nora Jones, “Mustang Sally”-Wilson Pickett, “September”-Earth, Wind & Fire

Okay, Twitter pal of mine, here’s what I’d do with your shoes & tunes:

No shoes or flip flops says easy-going, hippie vibe. But, the boots… that says country-music loving, pick-up driving, backwoods hillbilly. Let’s go with that second one. :-)

Music… oooh, soul sister, methinks. Definitely doesn’t match up with the boots, does it. Hmmm…

This woman would be a complex character, torn between hippie, hillbilly, and some kind of… temptress or something. Perhaps one who changes in accordance with her companions’ likes and dislikes, or blends in with her surroundings like a chameleon? Definitely complicated. Maybe something of a nomad, moving from state to state, chasing dream after dream?

You rock, Jeanne! :-) Thanks for playing — you are the most awesome voice in the Twitterverse!

  1. Holy moly, jumping grasshopper, yeehaw analysis! You’re pretty accurate… except the country music…um… no. ;)

You’re good at this! I’m honored.
    xo

  2. remember, i’m not trying to analyze you as a real person — just using those two attributes to do a quick character sketch. it’s a writing exercise. :-)

  3. Jamie says:

Hey, don’t let Jeanne disrespect the country music, it takes all kinds of music to make the world go ’round. But the cowboy boots, oh, Jeanne I love it, flip flops and cowboy boots. Makes me grin.

You forgot sensual and sexy with a hint of mint.

  5. moderndaystoryteller says:

Ha, what a great idea. Nice interpreting skills you got going here.
As for the great and wonderful Jeanne, I don’t know what to say – “…sensual and sexy with a hint of mint”? How could I possibly top that?
